Getting Started

Fluxer World is a free, open-source chat and voice platform. You can use it right in your browser at fluxer.world, or download the desktop app for the best experience.

To create an account: visit fluxer.world/register and sign up with your email. No phone number required.

To join a community: click any invite link (they look like fluxer.world/invite/abc123) or browse the community discovery page.

Is Fluxer World free?

Yes! Fluxer World is completely free to use. The platform is open source under the AGPL-3.0 license.

What platforms are supported?

Fluxer World works in any modern browser. Desktop apps are available for Windows (.exe), macOS (.dmg), and Linux (.deb, .rpm, .AppImage, .tar.gz, AUR, and Flatpak). See the downloads section for all options.

Can I host my own Fluxer server?

Absolutely! Fluxer is designed to be self-hosted. Check out the self-hosting guide for step-by-step instructions using Docker.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Is my data private?

Fluxer World takes privacy seriously. We don't sell your data or show ads. You can read our full privacy policy for details. Since Fluxer is open source, you can also audit the code yourself or host your own instance for full control.

How do I get desktop notifications working?

The desktop app handles notifications automatically. If you're using the browser, make sure you've allowed notifications when prompted. You can check notification permissions in your browser settings.
